Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week never disappoints and Barca 2026 felt especially exciting because of the wedding dresses we said yes to – we cannot wait to see them land at TDR Bridal.
Fresh from the catwalks, we're bringing you a refined edit of the standout trends we saw across the Katy Corso 10-year anniversary catwalk, Wona Concept & Eva Lendel, and the Justin Alexander catwalks. Each designer brought something distinct, yet together they painted a clear picture of where modern bridal is heading.
Before we dive into the trends, it's important to share why Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week means so much, not just to us, but to you as a Bride. It's one of the most exciting moments in the bridal calendar, where designers unveil their newest collections for the very first time. But for us at TDR, it's about more than just spotting trends, it's where we carefully choose the dresses that will make their way into TDR Bridal…the dresses you'll get to try on, fall in love with and say yes to.
Every show we attend, every collection we view, is with our brides in mind. We're there imagining you in these gowns – how they'll feel and how they'll move. When we return from Barcelona, we're not just bringing back inspiration, we're bringing back the future TDR dresses, chosen especially for you.
Here's what defined the runways this year, through a TDR Bridal lens…

Modern Romance, Redefined
Romance is still very much at the heart of bridal, as it has been for years, but it's evolving. This season, we saw a move away from overly traditional softness into something more intentional.
Designers played with structure and fluidity in the collections we saw – think sculpted bodices paired with weightless skirts, and clean lines softened with delicate draping. A really romantic feel that feels so good on the body and moves beautifully.
Statement Corsetry
Corsetry was everywhere and not just as an understructure, but as a design feature in its own right. We saw this in the catwalks last year but this time around the exposed boning and corset style has become more modest and more subtle than last season.
From Katy Corso's sculptural silhouettes to Wona Concept's signature shaping, boning, sheer panels, and defined waists took centre stage. It felt powerful, confident and undeniably modern.
Sheer Layers & Illusion Details
Transparency continues to dominate, but this season it felt lighter and more refined.
Eva Lendel in particular delivered beautifully with soft illusion necklines, barely-there sleeves, and layered tulle that created depth without heaviness.
These gowns moved effortlessly on the runway – perfect for brides who want something ethereal yet contemporary.

Clean Minimalism with a Twist
Justin Alexander showcased a strong edit of minimalist gowns but with subtle, impactful details. We're talking sleek satin silhouettes elevated with unexpected draping, asymmetric necklines, or architectural folds. It's minimalism that doesn't feel plain, it feels considered and we were blown away by the simple beauty of these gowns.
This is for the bride who wants timeless, but with a fashion-forward sensibility.

Detachable Drama
Versatility continues to be key. Across all catwalk shows, we saw an emphasis on transformable pieces – overskirts, capes, sleeves, and trains designed to be removed or restyled throughout the day.
This trend isn't just practical, it adds a sense of theatre. Brides can have that dramatic aisle moment, then transition seamlessly into a more relaxed evening look.
Floral, But Elevated
Florals haven't gone anywhere – but they've matured. Instead of soft, bohemian appliqué, we saw more structured, dimensional florals, almost sculptural in their placement. Katy Corso's anniversary collection in particular embraced this, blending artistry with femininity in a way that felt fresh and elevated.
Bold Necklines & Shoulders
From off-the-shoulder draping to sharp, structured straps, attention was firmly placed on the neckline this season. Designers explored ways to frame the décolletage, whether through clean, modern cuts or romantic, softly draped fabrics. It's a subtle shift, but one that makes a huge impact on the overall look. We saw lots of spaghetti straps, square necklines and subtle draping that added a softness to the neckline – all things that we know you will absolutely LOVE.
Lace, Elevated
Lace continues to be a bridal staple, but this season it felt softer, lighter, and more refined than ever. Across the Wona Concept and Eva Lendel collections especially, we saw a beautiful focus on delicate Chantilly lace bringing a sense of effortless romance without feeling overly traditional.
It's the kind of lace that feels almost weightless on the body, with intricate detailing that reveals itself up close. Perfect for brides who love texture and femininity, but still want something modern and understated.

Chokers & Statement Details
One of the more fashion-forward moments on the runway came through in the accessories and finishing touches. Choker-style necklines and detachable choker details appeared throughout, adding a subtle edge to otherwise romantic gowns.
It's a detail that instantly elevates a look, framing the neckline and drawing attention in a way that feels contemporary and cool. Whether built into the dress or added as an accessory, it's a trend for brides who want something a little unexpected, without stepping too far away from timeless.
The TDR Bridal Take
What stood out most this season was balance. Bridal is no longer about choosing between classic or contemporary, you can have both. Designers are creating gowns that feel timeless yet directional, romantic yet strong, effortless yet detailed.
For our TDR brides, this means more choice than ever but also more clarity. The modern bride knows who she is, and the dresses are finally catching up.
From TDR, With Love
At TDR, these collections felt like a true reflection of the brides we meet every day – confident, style-aware, and unapologetically individual. What we saw in Barcelona only reaffirmed what we believe: your dress should feel like an extension of you, not a version of tradition you feel you have to follow.
We cannot wait to show you what dresses we said yes to…gowns that will make you pause, and more importantly, make you feel. We can't wait to introduce these styles into TDR Bridal and help you discover something that feels entirely your own.
